The streaking Mets are back in New York tonight to take on the crosstown Yankees. The Mets have won 7 in a row, including 2 straight road sweeps of AL 'lesser' teams. The Yankees, meanwhile, are coming of a series loss (1-2) to the Phillies. The pitching matchup tonight has Hisanori Takahashi LHP (5-2, 3.48 era) taking on Javier Vasquez RHP (6-5, 5.43 era).
Look for a return to LF tonight of Jason Bay, who sat out yesterdays game with a charley horse in his quad. I also expect Chris Carter to DH again, as there will be a righty on the mound.
