Earlier this afternoon, Omar Minaya spoke with reporters and said that Carlos Beltran would be starting his minor league rehab assignment on Thursday. If all goes well, he could be back with the team, just after the All Star Break. For the full story, check out MetsBlog.com here .
While this sounds like the best news we could have expected today, I will remain cautiously optimistic until I see #15 in center field at Citi Field. I wish Carlos the best in his minor league assignment and hope he can rejoin the team sooner rather than later.
