Tonight at Citi Field, the Mets look to complete their 3rd interleague sweep of 2010 as they take on the Detroit Tigers in the last game of their 3 game series. The Mets have won the first 2 games of this series by a combined score of 19-6. Jose Reyes looks to stay hot for the Mets, coming off of his 3 hit game last night. Angel Pagan will get the day off to rest due to the muscle spasms that forced him out of last night's game.
Pitching for the Mets tonight is Hisanori Takahashi RHP (6-2, 3.13 era) and pitching for the Tigers will be Armando Galarraga RHP (2-1, 3.32 era). Takahashi went 6 scoreless innings en route to the win against the Yankees last Friday night. Galarraga, the pitcher of the 'imperfect game', allowed 4 earned runs in 4.1 innings in a no decision against the Diamondbacks.
Tonight's Lineup:
Reyes SS
Feliciano CF
Wright 3B
Davis 1B
Bay LF
Francoeur RF
Blanco C
Tejada 2B
Takahashi P
I was surprised to see Cora and Barajas out of the lineup today. I'm glad that Jerry is sticking with Tejada, even though the Mets have had 3 righties in a row. The youngster seems to have found his swing again and his defense is remarkable.
